Hydraulic Open Die Forging Press and Forging Manipulator Features and Applications

The main mechanisms of the forging manipulator are the cart traveling mechanism, clamp frame side shifting, swing mechanism, lifting mechanism, rotating mechanism, and clamping mechanism.

The Forging Manipulator is designed for a Korean large open-die forging factory that bought one set of 4000-ton hydraulic forging press from our company, and it cooperates with the forging press to achieve automatic ganging.

The Forging Manipulator is the most important equipment to realize the mechanization and automation of forging. It is mainly used to clamp the forging and cooperate with the forging host (press, forging hammer, etc.) The 30-ton Forging Manipulator pictured was produced for a Romanian customer.

The frame type forging manipulator includes translational movement manipulator and rotating movement manipulator. Frame type translational movement manipulator actions include manipulator travelling, front and rear side of clamping rod goes up and down, clamping device incline, clamping head rotating, and tong open and close.

A Forging Manipulator refers to an auxiliary machine in forging production. It is used to clamp one end of the ingot or blank during free forging so that the ingot or blank can be turned, fed, and moved up and down.

The frame manipulator is divided into two structural forms: the frame type linear manipulator and the frame type rotary manipulator. It is mainly used for clamping shaft forgings and blanks with free forging hammer or free forging press, which can greatly improve the production efficiency and forging quality, reduce the labor intensity of workers, and realize the mechanization of forging production.
